You love him. He loves you. Everything is doing quite well..not until you find yourself caught up in an abusive relationship. It can be very difficult to get out of a situation like this especially if you have no idea where and how to seek help. Every woman should know how to recognize a bad relationship before it gets out of hand.
For an instance, there are guys who are completely very possessive and controlling. They are the ones who tend to be more abusive. However, abusive situations falls into different categories, such as jealousy, insecurity levels, violence, belittles, and bad behaviours.
For most boyfriend-girlfriend relationships, the most often form of abuse is hitting. Arguements and petty quarrels are inevitable. And rather gets out of hand when one or the other starts throwing things at each other. Hitting is unacceptable & is the most obvious sign of an abuser. If a man hits you--GO! There will be second time, a third time, a fourth time, a hundredth time. Until you leave, or die.
Sometimes, men will try and accuse us of not loving them. Do not be fooled. It is a tactic to make us feel guilty and stay with them. He will even try to cry and rationalize his behaviour but only to find out that he is using our symphaty to get to us. He may even manipulate us by making seem like it was our fault.
The best way to escape this kind of situation is to tell him that you do not tolerate this behaviour and if he apologizes one minute and then blames you the next, then he is NOT sincere. It is time to move on.
